HVAC Training for the Old Guys
Back in the day air conditioning service technicians and installers learned the trade from the seasoned pros. They would take you with them on service calls and between the fetching and cleaning and all of the dirty work, you would learn the ins and outs of troubleshooining problems with air conditioning or heating equipment. These guys had seen it all and were an invaluable source of HVAC Training for the rookies.
Nowadays, things are a lot different. For one thing, the old-timers are retiring and leaving the industry. But, more importantly the air conditioning and heating equipment has become much more sophisticated. Much like the automobile, these once somewhat simple machines have now entered the high-tech computer age. Circuit boards, two-speed compressors, and variable-speed blower motors are just a few of the components of new, and foreign to those experts of the old days. Now, we must get our training from schools – hopefully some of those old-timers have decided to teach.
